On the editing side, Tom brings 27 years of experience in the print and online news business as a writer and editor as well as experience editing a variety of types of books using The Chicago Manual of Style or The Associated Press Stylebook. The particular type of editing offered is generally known as copyediting, and it involves fact-checking, looking for logical inconsistencies, some suggested rewriting, and spelling and grammatical corrections. This is typically done with Microsoft Word’s Track Changes, and a sample editing job of three pages of your work will be provided for free to see how you like the editing and what sort of time and cost might be involved for the work as a whole.

On the side involving photo books and slideshows, a combination of the capturing of memories and the recognition of another person—for a birthday, anniversary, wedding, or other occasion—can produce a gift that will likely be among the best you have ever given. A book and slideshow can combine photos and text—and even audio and video tracks, including Skype long-distance video recordings from well-wishers—in a way that touches the gift recipient to the core.
